American-German horn player Catherine Eisele, born in Pennsylvania, completed her studies in Cincinnati with Randy Gardner and Frankfurt am Main with Esa Tapani before becoming a member of the International Ensemble Modern Academy and completing her second Master, in Contemporary Music Performance. As a very versatile player, she completed her education in the academy of the Nuremberg State Opera and by studying natural horn with Uli Hübner in Frankfurt.As a freelancer, she has performed with ensembles such as the Berliner Philharmoniker, Frankfurt Radio Symphony, SWR, Le Concert Olympique, Württembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn, Ensemble Modern, and the operas in Berlin, Frankfurt and Stuttgart among many others. Besides orchestral playing, she is also busy as a chamber musician, playing with historical performance ensembles and with projects outside the typical classical world, ranging from live film scores through ABBA to rap. Since 2013 she is a member of the Dauprat Horn Quartet.Catherine used the time not spent performing during the pandemic to indulge in her passion for jewellery and gemstones, becoming a certified gemmologist (FGA DGA EG) and diamond grader, and starting a business- Jewels of Note- dealing in antique and vintage jewellery.
